• Seguro a terceros (basic third-party): covers damage or injury you cause to others, but nothing for your own vehicle — the legal minimum
• Seguro a terceros ampliado (extended third-party): adds cover for common risks to your own vehicle like theft, fire, and broken glass, without covering your own driving-fault damage
• Seguro a todo riesgo (comprehensive): covers damage to your own vehicle even when you're at fault, in addition to everything the other tiers include
• Choose based on your vehicle's value and age — comprehensive is generally most worthwhile for newer or higher-value vehicles

• As a rough guide, extended third-party is often a reasonable middle ground for vehicles around 5-10 years old, while comprehensive suits newer or higher-value cars
